Faculty Development and Advancement at American University of Beirut reflects the University’s commitment to supporting faculty throughout their academic careers. Led by the Office of the Provost, these initiatives are designed to accompany faculty at key stages of their professional journey, from onboarding and early career development to academic leadership roles.
Through a range of programs and learning opportunities, Faculty Development and Advancement supports faculty in navigating the evolving dimensions of academic life at AUB—teaching, research, service, and leadership. The initiatives provide spaces for learning, reflection, and peer exchange, while fostering a sense of connection and shared purpose across the faculty community.
Together, the New Faculty Orientation, Early Career Development Workshops, and Department Chair Initiatives form an integrated framework that encourages ongoing growth, collaboration, and shared responsibility.
